SHIFT is the young adult ministry at Alpine Chapel in Lake Zurich. The Ministry was originally started to fill the spiritual needs of college age students. The aim is to discover where the members are on their spiritual walk, and give them the tools and support they need to take steps closer to God. Our major goal is to help our members grow and develop into mature Christians and help them to become part of the adult congregation at the church. We currently have a college age Bible Discussion Group that meets once a week and we are planning on starting up a new group in January. This new group would cater to a more mature age group from about 25-35. Our mission is to offer any help we can to any young adult. Jack Gordon: Jack is currently studying Christian Ministries at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. He has been the acting director of the Young Adult Ministry as an Intern since May of 2009.
